Rubber Spider
A rubber spider is the replaceable elastomer insert fitted between the hubs of a jaw coupling. It transfers torque through compression while helping absorb vibration and shock loads and accommodate limited shaft misalignment within the coupling manufacturer’s specified limits.
Rubber spiders are used in motor-driven pumps, compressors, fans, conveyors and other industrial machinery. Choosing the correct profile, size, material and hardness helps maintain reliable drive performance. Worn, cracked or deformed inserts should be assessed and replaced with a compatible element.
Need the Right Rubber Spider?
IndustrialHub BD helps maintenance and engineering teams select compatible rubber spiders based on coupling make and size, insert dimensions, elastomer material, hardness, torque, speed and operating conditions.
Share your coupling model, spider markings, outer diameter, thickness, number of lobes or photographs of the existing insert and hubs. Our engineering team will help identify a suitable replacement for your industrial drive system.
