Quick Release Coupling (QRC)

A quick release coupling (QRC) provides a convenient connection between fluid lines that need to be connected and disconnected regularly. A matched plug and socket lock together to form the connection, helping simplify hose changes, equipment changeovers and maintenance. Depending on the design, internal shut-off valves limit fluid loss when the coupling is disconnected.

Quick release couplings are used in hydraulic power units, mobile machinery, presses, industrial tools and service equipment. Common options include poppet, flat-face and screw-to-connect designs. The correct coupling must suit the fluid, operating pressure, required flow and connection frequency, with both halves matched to the same compatible coupling profile.
